I will transit in Singapore on 18 Nov for about a week. I think it gonna be the last time I will be in Singapore. I wanna take a good lot of photos at places where i grew up. and of cuz i wanna meet up w all of my good friends and have a proper convo and bid farewell. then, i will close the chapter of my life in Singapore :)
Reason being, transitting in Bali is much cheaper than in Singapore. haha! and really, i am loving aussie. it is a beautiful country, fine weather, balanced lifestyle. and I am planted in a great church and in a passionate youth group. My life is adjusting so well here that i am rather hesitant to uproot myself again and plant myself again in Singapore which definitely would have changed so much when i return. and honestly, i kinda dont wanna lead a fast paced life again in Singapore hehe..
Anyways, I am really still open to where God leads me. I will go whereever He wanna me to go to serve Him.. :)
So now, I am studying for my exams. I love studying about Quality Assurance and Control. I really like the things I learnt from there. because it is not like chemistry where I have to try to understand the numerous complicated chemical reactions. This subjects shed lights to practical and different aspects of food industry. very therotical but i can understand cuz there are parallels to the running of the family business.
I really wanna set up a food industry but I surrender all these big dreams in God's hands. I have given my life to God and e most important thing to me is that I am faithful in e calling that He has placed in my life.. :)
Admist my hectic schedule recently, I have found a joy of finding my favourite meal of the week! Beef kebab with garlic and chilli sauce. and large Chai latte!! Yummy!! things cant get any better ey, cuz especially this week, there is a free upsize of coffee from medium to large. sponsored by commonwealth bank. should have taken photo of it! hmmn alright, i shall eat them again tmr and take photo. HAHA!
I used to say, "I am nt a coffee person. I am more of a tea person"
well, tts just cuz i have not tasted the beauty of coffee! haha.
chai is really awesome, spiced coffee. i went to different coffee shops in uni just to find the best chai!
and not forgetting, i drink like 3-4 cups of coffee in cafe. cuz i am learning how to make coffee now.
and so gotta practise it on myself. really love froth w choco powder.
*and tts why i change e background of my blog to more coffee oriented. (olivia.. enough of coffee) yeah just a side track a little. haha
one thing i like abt working in cafe is tt i get to try different kind of drinks i want. caramel milkshake, any smoothie etc. yummy.
been hectic. 24 hr prayer, camp, conference, working, planning day..

tts so soon! i thought my exams gonna be like beginning of nov or mid nov. then i can have abt a week break to study. but alas! after my week 12 ends, e following week is alr my exams! but oh well on the positive side, i get to end early.
and WORK! not tt i am so excited working. i am excited to get e money. hehe.
cuz i wanna save up money to go for TMT (Thailand Mission Trip) !
wohoo! Thank You, God, Jesus and Holy Spirit! hahaha!
i prayed earnestly tt my mom will allow me to go and she does.
i was worried tt she might say:
"Y go so far for mission? there is alot of poor ppl who need salvation in indo too!"
But surprisingly she was quick to let me go for TMT. thank you mom anw.
there are 2 parts run continuously to TMT.
medical mission for 2 weeks. and then evangelical mission for 3 weeks.
medical starts frm 27 dec 08 and evangelical 14 jan 09. the dilemma is I so want to go for medical.
i think it will really be an eye opener to see mutitudes of villages seeking for medical help.
and it is just fantastic to be able to give direct physical healing. and perhaps see miracles!
and i Just kinda wanna bond with more of blueskyers during those hard times.
but 27 dec kinda too rush. i may not have returned frm family holiday.
and i also wanna spend new year w my family. hmmn. my family is important too!
i am excited these past few weeks! so many good things have been happening.
God has been so close and real for me and Sylvie. We can see Him working in our lives.
I am really grateful tt i can join the global leadership summit.
the ticket for student is 69 dollars! expensive!
tts why harvesters must really be grateful for all those free conferences hehe.
and the only way to get around the ticket is to be a volunteer. and so I signed up.
The good news is tt I am accepted to be a volunteer. cuz I realise many of my friends are rejected.
and I am just so thankful tt i can participate although the organisers made it clear tt the volunteers are there to support the event and not to listen to the sermon. I was a tad disappointed at the expectations.
but when i think abt it, i would still be able to listen bits and pieces of e sermons. and the most important thing is tt I will be there!!
ah yeah! something to blog is of cuz the planning day!
it is a day where all the bluesky leaders gather and listen to God's direction for next yr.
and this planning is held all the way at wollonggong! 2 hrs drive from sydney.
but beautiflu suburb and a.k gave me and friends lift to and fro.
many aspects are being planned, revised, improved. lifegroup, newcomer, vision etc.
and just by discussing all these, we get closer as we see the passion of one another.
and how we are so concerned abt the body of Christ and His kingdom.
well, one aspect tt was planned is tt outreach event once a week.
at first, i was skeptical if i would be available and willing. worried over my studies etc.
but then, I have told God tt I will go all out for Him. then later on, I felt excited for all these new things for a new season in bluesky. :)
Just wanna thank God as well tt i had great time of bonding w other leaders like a.k and hana.
After church, Sylvie and I went to Chinatown cuz we wanna eat this really awesome hand-made noodle. haha. then we went to marketcity to buy groceries cuz sylvie wanna cook dinner for me and our cousin whose house we currently living during this holiday. we really have no intention to shop. BUT as we went up the escalator, right in front of was a shoe shop having SALE. it posted a huge $5 sign. so...
anw e first shoe tt caught my eye is the look alike high-heel shoe worn in the movie "Sex and the City". It is gorgeous and trendy. I love the colour too. nice shade of brown with a darker brown lining at the edges. but the thing is tt the shoe is 12cm high. !!!!!!!!!!!. i was really contemplating if i should buy. it is only for 10 bucks, reduced from 50 bucks. really worth buying but not very practical to use. I am 160cm, with the heels I will be 172cm. tts so tall! I do have guy friends of tt height or even shorter. I do not want to make them feel and look bad! but well generally aussie ang moh are towering tall. anw sylvie bought a high heeled shoes as well! a 9cm high black shoe with hot pink ankle strap and heels. we gotta practise walking first before wearing them outside! haha!
ohya! we also just bought a cool leather black jacket for 20 bucks! tts so totally great bargain!! such jacket would cost abt 60 originally. but cuz winter is over, the shop has to clear stock and make room for spring stock. we didnt hesitate buying it cuz other than e fact tt we can wear it for nxt winter, we need this warm leather jacket at the end of this year. We are gg to Japan and Korea for family holiday trip! its winter there! but i actually do not favour winter. but it gonna be a fantastic time of bonding and fun with family! btw really hope tt e visa goes well this time round. last year, e italy trip was cancelled due to late visa application and complication. Geez...
Btw, i just dyed my hair. DIY. wow i never know it can be so simple! if i know earlier, i would have done tt ages ago. its cheap, fast and improves my hair image. cuz my hair then was like quarter black at the top and three quarter brown at the bottom. anw i chose dark blonde for the dye!! but of cuz it didnt come out as dark blonde cuz my hair was dark shade based. it came out as just dark brown. not very noticeable, but it may come off lighter as i wash my hair. anw i am just happy tt my hair is of one colour! i reckon tt it was pretty unsightly to have my previous hair hahaha..
anw i cant wait for the long holiday to come! many exciting stuff gonna happen! :)
